Commercial Collection Agency

A commercial collection agency only works on business debt collection. The Kaplan Group is a commercial collection agency. We provide debt collection services on business-to-business debt. We collect from corporations, LLC’s (limited liability companies), partnerships and proprietorships. We also collect against individuals who have provided a personal guarantee, are the owner of a proprietorship, or have committed fraud. A retail collection agency collects against individuals for personal debts.

The debt collection process typically is very different for commercial collections than retail collections. By specializing solely as a commercial collection agency, The Kaplan Group provides our clients with undivided attention to developing and executing the most successful methods for business debt collection. Collection agencies that provide a vast variety of collection services, such as retail, credit card, medical, mortgage, and insurance debts typically struggle to provide above average results on commercial collections because the process is so different and typically the amounts are much larger for business debt collection.

The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) does not apply to a commercial collection agency. Our debt collectors are trained to follow all laws regarding commercial collections. They are also aware of FDCPA rules, and understand which ones do not apply to business debt collection.
